Description de poste5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent, preferably with new build projects (community centers, institutional buildings, etc.). Strong understanding of construction processes, project scheduling, and budgeting. Proven experience managing large construction teams and coordinating multiple trades. In-depth knowledge of Ontario building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Certification in Construction Safety (e.g., WSIB, First Aid, and WHMIS) is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring that the project progresses according to plan.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Oversee the scheduling of trades, deliveries, and inspections.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and report regularly to senior management on timelines, budgets, and any potential issues.
- Resolve any on-site conflicts or issues in a timely and professional manner.
