OverviewZapCom is seeking a Product Owner. As a Product Owner, you will be working with a team of engineers to deliver high-powered, cutting-edge software applications. You will work collaboratively with product managers, marketing and business stakeholders to realize the vision of the product. The ideal candidate needs to have strong communication, functional knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.Primary Responsibilities : Strong business acumen with the ability to elicit business requirements from a variety of stakeholders and represent the voice of the business and the customerCollaborates primarily with stake holders, scrum teams and other stakeholders to identify and close product gaps.Experience writing requirements in the form of user storiesExperience refining and clarifying requirements with both business and IT stakeholders by creating various artifacts such as process maps, wire frames, mockups, etc.Excellent communication skills; comfortable leading sessions and presenting findings to all levels of the organizationAbility to build trusted partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organizationAdequate technical acumen to communicate effectively with engineers and understand technical tradeoffsLead grooming and clarification sessions to provide engineering, QA, and UAT teams detailed requirements to develop and test againstPartner with Product Managers to execute on the product roadmap by working with cross-functional teams to capture business requirements and create supporting artifactsPartner with various stakeholders to extract defects and opportunities to be converted into the product backlogPartner with user experience to translate UI design and research into actionable development ready user storiesPartner with User Acceptance Testers to ensure the delivered product meets the business objectives and launch criteriaSuccessfully communicate and work with brand presidents, officers, external contacts, and internal departments to perform responsibilities.Use and continue “paperless” document management systems.Maintain confidentiality of personal information.Interface with others in a professional manner and be a trusted go to person.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Required Attributes : Knowledge of airline industry.Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at a given time while remaining organized, paying strict attention to detail, and meeting critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environmentProvide business analyst support for large transformational projects through activities such as requirements workshops, process mapping exercises, and gap analysis, trainingBe proactive and utilize critical thinking to make the right decisions for our customers and businessSelf-starter. Ability to work autonomously with little support.Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.Education & Experience : Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or relevant field of study preferredExperience : 8+ years of business analyst experience, preferably in Omnichannel or eCommerce / Point of sale applications. 2+ years should be in the relevant airline industry as Product Owner or Business Analyst is mandatory.Experience with MS Visio or similar workflow process tools.Experience with JIRA or similar tools preferred.Experience working in agile delivery models preferred.Experience working with product management teams preferred.
