Job Overview

Under general supervision of the Area Leader, Production Supervisor or Plant Manager, the Machine Operator ensures equipment is run correctly with monitoring and gauging. The operator organizes and leads the line team to consistently produce high quality product.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure health & safety, safe operating procedures and GMPs are followed.
• Maintain safety guards and follow machine manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Perform maintenance checks and report defects or issues.
• Remove scrap, maintain housekeeping, and keep the work area clean.
• Adjust machinery during production and communicate with line leader.
• Complete first case checks and quality tests per QA SOP / WI.
• Resolve line issues promptly to maintain efficiency.
• Follow recipes and product standards.
• Load and change packaging materials, ensuring product and packaging match.
• Use SPC weight control to verify specifications.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Set up equipment and shut down safely after production.
