Federated Insurance Senior Underwriters customize solutions for our commercial clients when they need insurance products. They work closely with our Commercial Insurance Specialists to develop unique solutions for all classes of risk.

Our Senior Underwriters are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our Commercial Insurance Specialists – this means emails and phone calls don’t go unanswered, and they provide an excellent underwriting experience. They also pay attention to the smallest of details, have excellent negotiation skills and work closely with our Actuarial and Claims Departments.

If you are great at:

• Commercial underwriting

• Problem-solving and critical thinking

• Developing and maintaining professional relationships

• Creating success in a fast paced and dynamic environment

• Helping others develop through coaching and mentorship

If you have:

• 5+ years of Commercial Underwriting experience

• Experience leading or mentoring a team

• Broad knowledge and understanding of underwriting disciplines and pricing models

• Completed, or pursuing your CIP, FCIP, or RPLU designations (an asset)

• Strong customer service background
