Position : Full-Time Security Guard

Site : Headwaters Health | 100 Rolling Hills Dr, Orangeville, ON L9W 6T6

Averaging Agreement : Employment Standards Act

Hours : Monday to Friday (1500-2300)

Payrate : | $19.63 / hour

Key responsibilities :

• Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security
• Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.
• Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.
• Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist hospital staff as needed during crises and evacuations.
• Greeting and assisting visitors, patients, and hospital staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally.
• Document and report daily activities, incidents, security concerns or accidents accurately
• Work closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety
• Ensure that hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
