Job Description
We are looking for someone to help manage our 3500 head beef feedlot. This is a year round position available anytime. Duties include feeding, checking, treating, bedding and all other duties related to cattle.
Farming duties will also be required during the growing seasons. Other tasks will include the supervision of three to five other employees.
Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio security procedures. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
Secondary education preferred, but not essential. Experience with cattle and equipment will be required. Class one drivers license an asset.
Willing to pay a competitive wage to someone who is conciseness and self motivated. We can help someone with less experience grow into this job
The feedlot is located near the hamlet of Gem where there is an elementary school, community center, sports court, curling rink, fire hall and two churches.
Housing is available in the area.
