Overview
We are currently looking for a Merchandise Planning Analyst with at least 1 to 2 years of retail replenishment and or allocations experience to join our Store Support Centre team in Brampton, ON. Our Merchandise Planning Analysts perform allocation of products to stores using various complex allocation methods to achieve sales targets, balance inventory and minimize stock outages. Using historical data, forecasts, sales trends, sell-through and lifecycles, they derive the best possible methods of allocation. In addition, they utilize technical skills and systems to perform their duties including advanced Excel formulas, pivot tables, data organization, Access queries, creating / editing Python scripts, and ERP systems.
Responsibilities
- Allocate products to stores using various complex allocation methods to achieve sales targets, balance inventory and minimize stock outages.
- Use historical data, forecasts, sales trends, sell-through and lifecycles to derive the best possible methods of allocation.
- Utilize technical skills and systems to perform duties including advanced Excel formulas, pivot tables, data organization, Access queries, creating / editing Python scripts, and ERP systems.
- Provide analysis, reports, and recommendations for inventory management functions in a timely manner.
- Monitor and analyze store sales and seasonal catalog inventory cycles; regulate ERP replenishment practices.
- Support store level trends and opportunities while minimizing inventory costs.
- Provide inventory support for marketing and sales events leading up to, during and after the event; track results, communicate findings, and collaborate with Buying and Distribution to take appropriate actions.
- Develop correction or redistribution plans for any identified inventory overages and shortages by category or item.
- Collaborate with affected stakeholders (e.g., Field Management, Distribution, Reclamation and Buyer) to initiate solutions, monitor results, and respond accordingly.
- Work closely with Buying and Distribution teams to provide stores with the support needed to deliver the best shopping experience.
Qualifications
1 to 2 years of retail replenishment and / or allocations experience.Advanced Excel skills are required (formulas, pivot tables, data organization).Experience with SQL and Python is an asset.Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Access queries is noted in the responsibilities.How to apply
