The hours and location you’ll work in as a 310T Mechanic with WM :

Monday – Friday every week
Start at 3PM
Repair / maintenance shop at our Brampton Hauling Site

Notes : Benefits may vary by site.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.

Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.

Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).

Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.

Conduct safety checks on vehicles to prioritize the safety of employees and the public.

Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.

Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.

Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Qualifications

Licensed 310T Mechanic

2 years of relevant work experience

A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Be over 18 years of age

Legally eligible to work in Canada

Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations

Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical

Work environment and physical demands

Exert physical effort including frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; Constantly standing, walking, and grasping; Occasionally sitting and balancing

Exposure to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals)

Exposure to environments with dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements

Work in indoor garage / shop or gas plant conditions as well as outdoor conditions with inclement weather, heat and humidity

Compensation and benefits

The base pay rate in Canada is $43.21 / h; actual salary offered may vary based on experience and qualifications

Sign-On Bonus : $10,000 (and additional sign‑on bonuses as applicable)

Uniforms and PPE provided; tool allowance worth $1,250 / year; boot allowance worth $200 twice / year
