Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Journeyman Millwright / Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for performing repair services, assembly services on hydraulic and mechanical components and systems in support of the overall business plan and the strategic direction of the company. This position will be actively involved in all daily activities related to growing Mechanical Repair and Fluid Power business in our Kamloops location.

Responsibilities

• System Troubleshooting both in shop and field setting
• Gearbox and mechanical system repair
• Complete work and test reports according to quality systems and procedures.
• Perform repair services to the OEM standards and customer requirements
• Ensure adherence to quoted and specified scope of work, component supply and customer requirements
• Failure analysis, condition reporting.
• Make recommendations for scope of work and product and system improvements.
• Painting, cleaning, other general shop duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

Core compensation will be comprised of a combination of hourly pay, bonus, benefits, rrsp match, etc. Hourly pay for this role will be determined by years of experience, skilled-trade level, and technical competencies, however, could be within the range of $30 / hour - $40.00 / hour (or more).
