Our client, a boutique property management company with a portfolio of commercial retail, industrial, and multi-residential assets across Canada, is searching for a Business Development Manager to prospect and obtain new business opportunities for company portfolio growth.
This role reports into the Managing Director.
Business Development Manager Duties & Responsibilities :
- Create new business opportunities through various prospecting methods and channels including outbound calls, email, social media, events, etc.
- Prepare and execute presentations with new and existing clients.
- Create RFPs and various documentation for new business and client onboarding.
- Maintain internal database with prospect and current client communications.
- Research and keep up to date with market trends and competitor analysis.
- Assist in contract negotiations.
- Assist with the development of strategic plans and initiatives for new business.
- Nurture and develop client relationships, helping troubleshoot and solve issues that arise.
- Assist in increasing brand awareness and positive reputation in the marketplace.
- Assist in strategic decision-making as it pertains to marketing efforts.
Business Development Manager Qualifications :
- Minimum 3 years of Business Development (B2B) experience within the real estate industry.
- Thorough understanding of the real estate industry for both commercial and residential assets.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Strong negotiation skills and financial acumen.
- Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively build and nurture client relationships.
- High technical proficiency across multiple software platforms including MS Office, CRM, and social media channels.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Commerce, Real Estate, or related is strongly preferred but not required.
- Reliable, incentive-driven, and positive attitude is required.
Business Development Manager Compensation :
The successful candidate will receive a base salary of $50,000 + commissions. They will also be eligible for annual performance bonuses and participation in a company benefits package.
