If so, we want to hear from you! We are looking for a dedicated Library Technician to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to support the library's daily operations and ensure the efficient handling and organization of library materials.
Les tâches
- Perform circulation duties, including check-in and check-out, using the SYMPHONY integrated library system.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, for library acquisitions, collection management, and library administration.
- Label and process physical library materials and manage stack organization.
- Prepare surplus library materials for disposal by creating and circulating lists, managing distribution, and disposal.
- Maintain binding lists, prepare materials for binding, and ensure quality control of received items.
- Provide general library support, including shelving, processing library mail, photocopying, and mailing out materials.
- Execute other duties as assigned by the Supervisor / Manager.

Exigences du poste
- Successful completion of at least two (2) years of approved post-secondary training in library science or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in shelving library materials within the last three years.
- Recent experience in circulating library material using major integrated library systems such as SYMPHONY, HORIZON, Innovative Interfaces, or Ex Libris.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
- Experience with the Circulation system and serials control of the SYMPHONY integrated library system is desirable.
