Your mission :

This is an 8‑month co‑op work term, with a start date in May 2026. This position is open to students who are currently enrolled in a post‑secondary co‑op program.

In this role you will :

  • Verify functional requirements
  • Verify resolved bugs

  • Execute test plans for our software and hardware products
  • Record test results and issues found using our testing and bug‑tracking software
  • Troubleshoot to verify and diagnose cause of issues

This role might be right for you if you have :

  • Completed relevant coursework in Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering
  • Testing experience with embedded products and software
  • Familiarity with test management and documentation systems (TMS)
  • Hands‑on experience with electrical devices and measurement instruments
  • Familiarity with serial and Ethernet communication protocols
  • Excellent general computer and IT skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A keen attention to detail
  • Strong desire to be part of a team that produces high‑quality applications
  • You’ll be successful in this position if you :

  • Are an enthusiastic, innovative individual who cares about sustainability
  • Look for ways to have a meaningful impact on your team's work
  • Are interested in using devices to control the physical environment, and you’re willing to learn our products and industry
  • Like a challenge and want to grow professionally
  • Are patient and diligent; quality may take longer, but you know it’s worth it
  • Value a healthy work–life balance; we don’t expect you to work overtime or weekends
  • What we offer

Work‑Life Balance & Flexibility : We know quality work comes from a balanced life. That’s why we offer generous paid time off and hybrid work options whenever possible.

Health, Wellness & Community : Your well‑being matters. Enjoy access to free on‑site gyms at both Victoria locations, along with social events nearly every month. Prefer green commuting? You’ll even be paid for choosing sustainable transportation.

Learning, Mentorship & Growth : We offer mentorship from experienced team members, and development pathways to help you grow.

Purpose‑Driven Innovation : At Reliable Controls, innovation means creating sustainable, meaningful solutions that make buildings smarter and the world greener. Every project you work on contributes to a legacy of environmental responsibility and global impact.

At Reliable Controls, we believe that a wide range of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds make us stronger as a company and as a community.

Reliable Controls is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we’re committed to fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in every aspect of our organization.

When applying for a role, we recognize that each person’s career path is unique. Even if your experience doesn’t perfectly match every listed qualification, we encourage you to apply. We value potential, passion, and alignment with our values as much as direct experience.

We’re also dedicated to ensuring that every candidate enjoys a comfortable, respectful, and accessible interview experience. If you require any accommodations during the hiring process, please let us know.
