Job Title : Ocean Export Freight Coordinator (English / Japanese)

Duration of employment : Permanent Full-time

Employer : International Logistics and Freight Forwarding Company

Location : Delta, BC (Annacis Island)

Starting Date : ASAP

Work hours : 8AM to 4 PM (30 min. lunch break), Monday to Friday

Compensation : Starting from $45,000 – 60,000 (DOE) plus bonus subject to company discretion

Benefits : Extend Health (Dental and vision), RRSP, LTD, Life Insurance and AD&D

Vacation : 16 days (first four years), 20 days (five years and above)

Main Job Duties

Receiving orders from clients
Arranging Ocean freight bookings
Completing trucking arrangements
Documentation, billing, tracing, and some quoting
General customer service
Other duties as required

Minimum Requirements

Experience working (or education) in freight forwarding and / or ocean carrier sector preferred

Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Effective communication and problem-solving skills are required on a daily basis

Fluent in written and spoken English and Japanese (business level)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Knowledge of Cargowise an asset, but not a requirement

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner

Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

Ability to work under pressure

A high level of mental alertness and urgency is required

Ability to build relationships in person, via phone and by e-mail

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Resourceful and able to multi-task and respond to a dynamic work environment
