If so, the City of Beaumont invites you to join our team at the Chantal Berube Youth Centre (CBYC) as a Youth Worker.

The City of Beaumont is seeking an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills for the role of Youth Worker at the Chantal Berube Youth Centre (CBYC).

This is a casual position with approximately 5-15 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

What YOU’RE Responsible for : Assist in facilitation and engagement of youth centre programs and drop-in activities that promote personal growth and community connection  Provide additional support and guidance to youth attendees, fostering meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging Utilize a strengths-based approach to empower youth and encourage their development Maintain a safe and hygienic environment within the youth centre facility, ensuring a welcoming space for all participants Ensure adherence to Legislative regulations, Safety Directives and procedures and all respectful workplace standards Open and prepare the facility for community rentals as needed, will include evenings and weekends Report unsafe conditions and near miss incidents promptly Attend regular safety meetings as required and promote a positive attitude Other duties as assigned What YOU Bring : High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12) Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector Demonstrated enthusiasm, motivation, and a positive attitude towards youth engagement Current Standard First Aid / CPR (must be maintained) A clear Intervention Record Check (issued within the past three months) What WE Offer : An hourly rate of $18.68 per hour Membership to the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre Access to our Employee and Family Assistance Program Join us in making a difference in the lives of our city's youth.
