Job Summary

We areseeking a Corrosion Engineer to join our Global ManufacturingOrganization (GM) under Technical Support team. The technicalsupport team is a multidisciplinary organization with interface totechnical and in some cases business support requirements for ourGlobal Manufacturing Admin Area.

Its function caters mainly to thetechnical needs of GM Operating facilities. Your primary role willbe to provide technical support to operating facilities projectstechnology deployment and talent development of new corrosionengineers.

You will also conduct special studies and analysis in aspecialized corrosion control field such as cathodic protectionwater treatment chemical inhibition or materials selection.

Additionally you will provide specialized technical corrosioncontrol services and consultation.

Responsibilities :

• Implement corrosion management program andonstream monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and providetechnical support for running hydrocarbon (HC)facilities.
• Conduct riskbased inspectionsbased on API580 methodology.
• Review andapprove recommended solutions for coating failures and cathodicprotection.
• Participate in HAZOP (Hazard andOperability Study) review sessions and ensure that all issues areaddressed.
• Manage the water treatment programand recommend solutions to overcome challenges.
• Review design packages and validate materials selectionbased on current codes and standards.
• Validatecorrosion controls corrosion loops and corrosion damage mechanismsfrequently.
• Assess feed composition changesand approve recommended solutions to assure assetintegrity.
• Develop the scope and descriptionof technology items and lead field implementation.
• Develop and transfer knowledge about the use of coatingcathodic protection corrosion inhibitors and other corrosioncontrols and best practices.

Requirements :

• Willing to permanently relocateat Dhahran Saudi Arabia.
• Hold aBachelors degree in engineering preferably in mechanicalengineering.
• Possess a minimum of 12 years ofexperience with a strong preference for 15 years or more inprocessing in the Oil / Gas industry material science and metrologydifferent NDT (NonDestructive Testing) technology and theirapplications and knowledge in the engineering aspect ofwelding.
• Have knowledge of internationalstandards and codes particularly NACE ASME API and ASTM with afocus on inspection and corrosion standards such as API571 API580API570 and API510.
• Hold a valid NACESpecialist Certification or NACE Senior Corrosion Technologistcertification or a combination of NACE Corrosion TechnologistAPI571 and NACE CP (Cathodic Protection) level IIcertifications.
