Westshore Terminals Limited Partnership is owned by Westshore Terminals Investment Corporation. Operating since 1970 in the Port of Vancouver, Westshore is the terminal of choice for Canadian coal mines and for United States coal mines in the Powder River Basin of Montana and Wyoming.

Westshore Terminals is capable of handling up to 33 million tonnes of coal annually and ships to over 20 countries worldwide, providing billions in dollars of export revenue for Canada and British Columbia.

Westshore is proud to be Port Metro Vancouver's only dedicated coal terminal and busiest single coal export terminal in all of North America.

Westshore is also a proud member of Green Marine, a voluntary environmental program for North America’s marine industry.

Westshore Terminals has been safely exporting coal out of Roberts Bank for over fifty years and is now undergoing a transition as it prepares to diversify by including potash in its export base.

An opportunity now exists for an experienced training professional. The Superintendent, Training is responsible for taking a leadership role in the organizational-wide training development for all management and unionized employees.

The Superintendent’s responsibilities include advocating for resources to meet training program goals and developing a robust training delivery program.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in a unionized heavy industrial or waterfront sector and a strong track record in meeting the training needs of the workforce.

They will have excellent relationship skills and an ability to achieve results in a diverse, multi-stakeholder environment.

The successful candidate will have a reputation for being fair, objective, and focused on outcomes that serve an organization’s training needs.

They will have experience working with both industry and education providers, collaborating on the development of programs that are in tune with a broad workforce demographic.

The ability to maintain effective partnerships across local and federal entities is essential in this role. The salary for this position is in the range of $130,000 to $140,000 plus benefits.
