Title : Community Health & Home Care Nurse.

Salary : $84,217 - $95,728 (pay range explained below).

Contract : Permanent.

Hours : 18.75 Hours per Week (Part-Time).

Location : Chase, B.C.

Bargaining Unit : Professional Institute for Public Service of Canada.

About the role

As the Community Health & Home Care Nurse, you will provide a comprehensive range of core nursing functions and services (community / public health, primary care, and home care) in First Nations communities.

You will work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team. You will focus on promoting health, preventing disease and injury, protecting population health, as well as a focus on curative, rehabilitation, and supportive or palliative care.

You will travel to various communities across the province.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have / be :

  • A bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Current registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP).
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers license.
  • An understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols.
  • Knowledge of nursing processes.

You may have experience in :

Public health, Home Care Nursing, Community Health (1 2 years).

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours.

As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021.

We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
