Do you wish you were employed at a well-respected and expanding organization as an Accounting Clerk? An Accounting Clerk is needed by a department to support its daily operations. This position is available through Robert Half. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). What you get to do every single day

- Upload financial information to journals and ledgers

- Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

- Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

- Contribute to Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

- Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

- Put together statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

- Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

Job Requirements:
- General ledger experience preferred

- Strong familiarity with Enter Invoices

- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Outstanding data entry skills

- Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request

- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
