Printing Press Operator

Position Purpose

: To help us reach our goals, we are looking for energetic, motivated individuals to join our team in Truro, NS in the role of Printing Press Operator

Principle Accountabilities

In this position, successful candidates would be expected to:

• Operate the two printing presses by ensuring that proper materials, inks and measurements according to customer specifications are used.
• Conduct changeovers of presses.
• Mount plates in proper locations.
• Monitor quality when machine is running.
• Maintain proper production records of presses.
• Help load and doff rolls on presses.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous Flexographic Printing considered an asset
• Strong Mechanical Aptitude
• Energetic and self-motivated individual
• Enjoys a physically demanding role
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• 12-hour shifts on rotation between day and night shift
• 8am-8pm and 8pm-8am
