Senior Backend Engineer (AWS)

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Lumenalta, you will design and implement robust backend systems, ensuring our applications are secure, scalable, and efficient. You will be responsible for working closely with DevOps and frontend teams to deliver high-performance applications that leverage AWS cloud services and Kubernetes. Your role will also involve managing infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CDK and monitoring systems with tools like Grafana and Loki. Key Responsibilities :

• Backend Development : Build, maintain, and optimize backend systems using Python and integrate with cloud services on AWS.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management : Design and deploy AWS infrastructure, leveraging services like EC2, Lambda, RDS, and S3, with an emphasis on scalability and security.
• Kubernetes Orchestration : Manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, ensuring proper scaling, load balancing, and orchestration.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Use Terraform or AWS CDK to automate infrastructure management, ensuring repeatable and efficient cloud resource provisioning.
• Monitoring & Logging : Implement monitoring and logging solutions using Grafana and Loki to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Collaboration : Work closely with DevOps, frontend, and product teams to deliver cohesive, scalable, and secure applications.
• Automation & Optimization : Automate workflows and improve infrastructure and application performance, ensuring low-latency and high-availability systems.

Salary range : CA$76,000 - CA$139,000 annually, with final compensation determined by your qualifications, expertise, experience, and the role's scope.

Location :

This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be based in regions that align with the Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration with client and team schedules.

Benefits :

This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
