We are looking for a Business Analyst for a 12-month contract position in Regina, Saskatchewan . Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
On-site or Hybrid work available. 8 hours a day, 40 days per week.
Role Description
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our client's team and play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions. The ideal candidate will have previous experience identifying and understanding business requirements, analyzing processes and recommending technological improvements. You will be responsible for managing complex business scenarios and facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and meet the desired outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions with project stakeholders, team members and end users
- Lead sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives
- Ensure adherence to SI SDLC project methodology (agile, iterative, waterfall)
- Prepare session and elicitation documents, user stories and use cases
- Develop comprehensive requirements documentation, including scope, objectives, business problems and solution context
- Create State Model and Process Flow diagrams
- Perform Data Mapping between applications
- Liaise with business and technology stakeholders to develop business requirements into solutions
- Map business requirements into functional and non-functional requirements
- Assess feasibility and alignment of requirements with business needs
- Troubleshoot issues, develop new approaches and facilitate alignment sessions
- Recommend and incorporate best practices into analysis
- Estimate time and resource requirements (human, financial)
- Prepare work breakdown structures and conduct project analysis using various techniques
- Review technology prototypes to ensure they meet requirements
Required Skills and Experience
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or an equivalent fieldMinimum 5-8 years of experience as a Business AnalystMinimum 3-5 years of experience in managing medium to large size projectsProven experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects or one larger complex projectPrevious experience and thorough knowledge in Agile and Agile / Hybrid methodologyMinimum 3-5 years of experience managing and holding third party vendors accountableCertification in People Change Management (e.g. Prosci) is considered a plusAdditional certification in Agile, Scrum or Kanban is considered a plusMinimum 3 years of experience in IT or Telecom is preferredPlease note that while all applications are appreciated, only candidates selected for interview will be contacted.
