Job descriptionOn-site customer service Commercial Industrial Residential Rural area Urban area Various locations Relocation costs covered by employer Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding Prepare flooring plans and scheduling Prepare tenders and quotations Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings Prepare and install hardwood floors Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings Estimate costs and materials Prepare floors for installations Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants Install vinyl decking materials Vinyl or resilient tiles Vinyl or resilient sheets Hardwood strip flooring Hardwood intricate patterns flooring Carpets / rugs Bondable Valid driver's licence Willing to travel Physically demanding Handling heavy loads Bending, crouching, kneeling Ability to distinguish between colours Hand-eye co-ordination Steel-toed safety boots Efficient interpersonal skills Organized Health care plan As per collective agreement Night shift premium Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and / or refugees (for example : housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.) Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and / or refugees (for example : facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.) Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and / or refugees with experienced employees Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
