Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities :

• Support the design and execution of electrical power systems by preparing calculations and design packages that align with contract requirements.
• Develop detailed engineering documents, including Electrical Load Lists, Single Line Diagrams, Cable Diagrams, Instrumentation and Controls Lists, and wiring schematics.
• Conduct trade studies—both formal and informal—to identify the most efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Generate technical specifications, material requisitions, and Bills of Materials in accordance with client and project standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, participating in design reviews and ensuring seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Assist in engineering close-out activities, ensuring all documentation, compliance requirements, and deliverables are met.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of post-secondary experience in Electrical, controls and instrumentation Engineering is vital
• Experience in heavy industrial environments is required; shipyard experience is a strong asset.
• Strong proficiency in technical writing and documentation, including specifications, procedures, and reports.

Pay : $42-46 per / hour

12 month contract opportunity

On site 5 days per week
