Our client in the Brampton area is seeking a Maintenance mechanic to join their team. This is a full-time night shift with training on various shifts.
Description of Accountability :
- Works cooperatively in a team-oriented fashion to maintain, repair and fabricate machines, equipment, and devices in the manufacturing area.
- Comply with all Company safety policies, procedures and rules.
- Adherence to the Technical System Procedures and Instructions.
- Develops and maintains the Mechanical Preventative Maintenance program with management and production personnel and reports to management on the completion of the audits.
- Maintains the inventory of spare parts and requests replacements be ordered when items are consumed.
- Performs repairs in the plant and on plant equipment as assigned.
- Performs Preventative Maintenance.
- Operate lifting equipment such as Lift Truck, Crane, and Chain Hoist, to move, load or unload equipment as required.
- Operates all maintenance-related equipment including but not limited to Aerial lift, scissor lift, lathe, milling machine, saws and hand and power tools.
- May also be called upon to perform repair welding.
- Actively participates in Continuous Improvement Activities.
- Knowledgeable of and follows safe working practices.
- Maintains a safe and tidy work area.
- Ensure the Standards of Section 28 of the OHSA are met.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skill Required
Able to diagnose and remedy any mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic problems in the plant.
Education / Experience Required
One to two years of practical experience or a minimum of five years of related experience.
Shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night Shift 10 : 45 pm to 6 : 45 am
- Shift Premium provided
