Estimating Manager

Position : Estimating Manager

Location : Burnaby, BC; Calgary, AB; Hamilton, ON; or Oakville, ON

BAUER Foundations Canada is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead estimating activities across Canada. Reporting to the Vice President, Preconstruction, this role requires a Civil Engineer with strong technical, commercial, and leadership capabilities to manage complex tendering and bid processes, develop competitive design concepts, and lead estimating teams in support of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage the preparation, review, and submission of technical and commercial tenders and bids
• Provide estimating oversight and support for major and strategic pursuits across all regions
• Oversee responses to client Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in alignment with BAUER Canada’s business plans and growth strategies
• Prepare and review technical tenders, bids, and tender documentation
• Lead, mentor, and develop Senior and Intermediate Estimators
• Establish, maintain, and improve estimating procedures, standards, and historical cost databases
• Interpret and respond to complex technical specifications
• Present technical solutions and design concepts to clients and other stakeholders
• Negotiate and communicate complex technical and commercial matters to a variety of audiences
• Identify and evaluate new markets and opportunities through client engagement, market research, and networking
• Maintain oversight of client databases and portals
• Attend and participate in industry events, professional groups, and networking associations
• Promote BAUER’s mission, vision, values, reputation, code of ethics, standards, policies, and procedures internally and externally
