About the Role

This person is accountable to support the Maintenance function by preventing and repairing mechanical breakdowns.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to machinery and plant support systems with regards to hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical problems
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) schedules (as required) on machinery and Plant Support equipment
• Suggest preventative measures to minimize or eliminate breakdowns
• Maintain correct safety standards at all times
• Complete all check sheets and records as it relates to the P.M. program, Work Orders, etc
• Member of the Emergency Response Team
• Capable of instructing maintenance personnel in trade related tasks and skills
• Diagnose and repair basic electrical problems with equipment
• Modify machinery and equipment and overhaul machines as directed
• Install, set up, and commission new equipment
• Must be aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how it effects quality and the environment for our customers

Who we are looking for

Your preferred qualifications

• Completion of specialized trade courses and / or apprenticeship / certification.
• 3 to less than 5 years of work related experience.
• Minimum Certified Tradesman (Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright)
• Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D) equivalency preferred
• Minimum 1 year directly related trade experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a Stamping environment - Dortec Bradford Specific
• Must have an exceptional Safety Record
