Neurologist opening in northern Vermont – some inpatient

Seeking a full-time (4.0 or 4.5 days / week) BE / BC neurologist to join a highly productive, skilled, and popular neurologist and selected outreach clinic sites to help meet clinical demands for services and build a neurology service.

Provides office-based general neurology services to new and established patients (adolescents age 16 and older as well as adults) including :

• medication management
• education and counseling of patients and families
• ordering diagnostic tests
• referral to related other specialties (e.g., cardiology, orthopedics, pain management, pulmonology, sleep medicine) locally
• referral to subspecialty neurologists at tertiary care centers
• communication with PCP s.

Most commonly diagnoses encountered are :

• Migraine
• Memory Loss
• Essential Tremor
• Parkinsons Disease
• Cognitive Impairment
• Dizziness
• Epilepsy
• Multiple Sclerosis
• Polyneuropathy
• Headache

Partners with other members of neurology team (e.g., neurologist colleague, radiologist, EEG technologists, MA s and RN s, physical therapists).

Infrequently provides consultation for inpatients (0-3 times / week). More often provides curbside (unofficial) consultations to hospitalist and arranges to see patient in timely manner (
