Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician - Red Deer

Alberta Health Services, Central Zone, and the Department of Pediatrics at the Pediatric Specialty Clinic (Children's Rehabilitation Services), invites applications for a Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician to establish a full-timepractice in the community of Red Deer.

Responsibilities include but not limited to :

• Community Clinic Care (Pediatrician Referrals only)

Comprehensive Assessments

Evaluate children with developmental delays, behavioural challenges, and neurological conditions.

Diagnose conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities,

speech and language disorders, learning disabilities, and genetic syndromes.

Work closely with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, psychologists, and educators to ensure a

multidisciplinary approach to care.

Monitor developmental progress and adapt management plans as needed.

Prescribe medications and recommend therapies to address behavioural, developmental, and neurological concerns.

Educate healthcare professionals about neurodevelopmental conditions.

Advocate for children and families to access appropriate resources, including specialized educational programs and therapy services.
