Naval Architect (Shipbuilding)

Overview

18 month contract - requires 5x onsite in Victoria, BC.

Qualifications

• An engineering degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution
• Certification as a Professional Engineer (PEng) with the applicable provincial association
• Minimum 8 years of structural repair or marine engineering experience;
• Knowledge of stability and docking in a Professional Engineer capacity is highly preferred
• A comprehensive understanding of marine structures and their design or maintenance requirements;
• Knowledge and use of suitable or applicable Naval Architectural standards
• A demonstrated capability to oversee the development of complex technical solutions for the repair of steel structures;
