Job descriptionConfined spaces Wet / damp Various locations Commercial Residential Construction site Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size Physically demanding Bending, crouching, kneeling Hand-eye coordination Handling heavy loads Large workload Work under pressure Steel-toed safety boots Accurate Client focus Efficient interpersonal skills Judgement Team player Health benefits Dental plan Health care plan Financial benefits Bonus Group insurance benefits Life insurance Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) Supports newcomers and / or refugees with foreign credential recognition Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations
