Mechanical Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and production of utility-scale and C&I battery energy storage products. This role focuses on mechanical system design, thermal management, enclosure design, and integration of BESS subsystems, working closely with electrical, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical structures for BESS cabinets and containers, including enclosures, racks, and mounting systems.
• Develop and optimize thermal management solutions (air / liquid cooling) for energy storage systems.
• Support product b from concept through mass production.
• Work closely with supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
• Support electrical and systems engineering teams on layout, integration, and packaging of batteries, PCS, EMS, and BMS systems.
• Lead mechanical validation and reliability testing (environmental, vibration, thermal cycling, etc.).
• Support documentation and certification processes for UL, NFPA, and other relevant standards.
• Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to manage mechanical parts development and quality.
• Support cost optimization and supply chain localization strategies.
