What You Will Do :
As a Coordinator, EHSW , you will support the implementation, monitoring, and enhancement of our Environment, Health, Safety, and Wellness programs, reporting directly to the Supervisor, EHSW.
Your efforts will help promote a culture of safety and wellness and drive continuous improvement within our organization.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Support EHSW program development, implementation, and management to align with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
- Communicate EHSW updates to employees and respond to inquiries.
- Assist in safety incident investigations and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating EHSW training, prepare materials, and manage records.
- Organize EHS events and wellness initiatives to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
- Manage EHS software systems, ensure data accuracy, employee support, and troubleshooting issues.
- Monitor safety statistics, prepare reports, and analyze data for improvement.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to EHSW, including filing, scheduling, and correspondence.
What You Will Bring :
Required qualifications :
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Health & Safety.
- A minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, management and reporting.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
- Strong understanding of Nova Scotia EHSW legislation, best practices, and industry standards.
Preferred skills and qualifications :
- Strong organizational and time-management skills for multitasking and prioritizing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective employee interactions.
- Strong presentation skills for delivering EHSW training and communications to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in the field of EHSW.
