Job description

AECOM is seeking a Procurement Specialist to work closely with and directly support the Procurement Manager in a full-time hybrid position. Youll be a key driver in keeping procurement activities running smoothly suppliers aligned and projects on track. Youll work closely with a supportive Procurement Manager and learn the full procurement lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for a keen go-getter who thrives on responsibility enjoys solving problems and wants to make a tangible impact on high-value projects.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the go-to support for the Procurement Manager across current and future projects
  • Support the Procurement Manager in developing and maintaining procurement strategies plans and client deliverables
  • Actively build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers and project teams to drive collaboration and successful outcomes
  • Bring brilliant creative ideas to share with clients and enhance project outcomes
  • Assist with procurement planning scheduling and tracking of materials and services
  • Support contract and purchase order administration from award through delivery
  • Coordinate with Project Managers Engineers and Client team to keep everyone aligned
  • Help resolve supplier issues and keep communication flowing
  • Maintain procurement logs reports and dashboard

Qualifications :

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline: engineering finance business etc.
  • 6 years experience of procurement related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in procurement in a project-based environments on large infrastructure capital project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and juggling priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive detail-oriented team player who enjoys supporting others
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Someone who takes initiative and loves a lets get it done mindset
  • Understand review and negotiate contract terms and conditions is an asset
