About this opportunity :
As the Senior Operations Specialist, this role is a key support to the senior operation leadership team to manage and coordinate highly complex business initiatives and operational activities across the Conventional assets.
The role is key resource to the asset operational team for technical advice, coaching and mentorship. This position will be a go-to person for Upstream Operations input & expertise, relied on to liaise with business development and major projects teams, ensure that Operations’ interests are incorporated into projects, continuous improvement and / or change initiatives.
What you’ll do :
Support and advise on asset optimization and long-term development opportunities to collect and provide information required for economic evaluation
Participate in design reviews and provide input and ensure operational readiness requirements are established before start-up
Act as the Company's Fleet Field Representative (Vehicle Admin) to manage vehicle assignments, coordinate major repairs, assist with vehicle redeployment or replacement, ensure vehicles are ready for auction or return, oversee UTV / ATV and trailer maintenance, and handle annual insurance renewal handouts.
Assist with all regulatory and environmental regulation requirements are in compliance and guide operations with Inactive Well Inspections and SCV checks
Develop Operations rollout strategies for change initiatives (e.g. Coaching, COIMS, CI projects)
Provide input and support to area-wide or complex engineering investigations / troubleshooting
Technical support to asset teams when required, coordination of large multidisciplinary team coordination when dealing with complex operational issues and emergencies, contractor management
Contributes to & participates in the development of the business strategy / plans to develop standard processes where necessary, and seek innovations
Regulatory and contractual compliance assurance
Optimized and fit for purpose projects / designs
Effective team member engagement in projects, business opportunities, changes, improvements
Who you are :
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements :
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Knowledge of job or industry specific practices or processes of critical / unique skills / knowledge
8+ years Upstream operations experience
Extensive operational knowledge of oil and gas wells / facilities and gathering systems
Knowledge of risk management principles
Excellent collaboration skills, leverages existing and / or builds new key relationships and solicits others for input
Confident decision making with effective communication skills that is relevant and timely
We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol / drug assessments
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines.
A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
