Redlen Technologies

Victoria

Redlen Technologies a recent acquisition of Canon Inc, boasts tremendous market potential owing to its leadership in advanced semiconductor radiation imaging detectors and its strong relationships with leading equipment OEMs.

The company specializes in high-resolution cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) semiconductor detectors, positioning itself as a leader in medical imaging, security screening, radiation detection, and non-destructive testing.

With a growing global emphasis on healthcare, security, and safety, Redlen's cutting-edge technology addresses critical needs for precise imaging and detection capabilities.

The escalating demand for more efficient and accurate radiation imaging and detection solutions promises a robust market trajectory for Redlen Technologies as its advancements in CZT semiconductor detectors move from trials to volume deployment.

From an initial team of five to today's 230 members, Redlen has consistently innovated and improved the semiconductor crystal growth and fabrication process for its world-leading CZT sensors used in the Medical Imaging, Security Imaging, and Non-Destructive Testing markets.

Redlen’s X-ray imaging sensors, combined with sophisticated electronics, provide leadership solutions for Fortune 500 partners worldwide.

Redlen’s technology represents a quantum leap forward in medical computed tomography (CT) scanners, akin to the transition from Black & White televisions to high-definition 4K LED displays.

This advancement improves image resolution and diagnostic accuracy while substantially reducing radiation dose. In the security vertical, Redlen’s technology enhances aviation baggage-scanning security screening, improving passenger safety and reducing delays.

Handheld dirty bomb detectors based on Redlen sensors accurately detect both the location and identity of dangerous radioactive materials.

Redlen’s advanced semiconductor sensors offer higher-resolution data, informing improved decision-making and resulting in an enhanced global security offering.

Reporting to and closely collaborating with the President & CEO, the Vice President of Business Development will lead the business development and product marketing team, setting strategic direction for corporate product strategy, revenue growth, and customer development and leading the negotiation of long-term supply agreements.

The goal is to solidify Redlen as the partner of choice for global OEMs. Success will require a highly collaborative approach with the R&D, production, and financial teams to ensure Redlen evolves with the market, scales to meet supply agreements, and meets margin targets.

The ideal candidate for this role is a successful business development, marketing, or product management strategist within the medical imaging or related sector.

Over their career, they have proven their ability to be a strategic leader, identifying opportunities to cultivate strong client and stakeholder relationships by effectively communicating the company’s value proposition and building a partnership relationship where Redlen’s sensors are embedded in OEM equipment design.

They are both technically and financially skilled, with strong negotiation and contract management skills, capable of developing and presenting business cases that demonstrate long-term benefits and a commitment to quality and customer service.

In accordance with BC’s Pay Transparency Act, the expected base salary range for this role is $210,000-$260,000 per year.
