The Data Engineering practice at Gore Mutual Insurance is going through an exciting transformation to modernize technologies and approaches, and to better enable a data‑driven future for the company.

The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, data modelling and data integrity / validation. The role will also support several exciting ongoing data migration, acquisition, and development projects, aligning with our new strategic data priorities as well as provide mentorship within the Data Engineering team.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Design, development, and documentation of data pipelines and data storage systems
• Maintenance of Data Systems and Platforms
• Collect and analyze requirements and develop data processes and applications that satisfy them
• Identify new opportunities for data acquisition and help with utilisation of new data assets
• Support internal business clients such as Data Scientists and Visualization Specialists with their various data needs in collaboration with other Data Engineering team members
• Provide mentorship to Associate and Intermediate Data Engineers as needed
