As a Receptionist within our client’s business administration team, you will serve as the welcoming face and operational backbone of the office. In this vital business administration role, the Receptionist oversees essential front-desk activities, coordinates workplace amenities, manages office supplies, and ensures a smooth daily experience for team members, clients, and visitors alike. This full-time position offers an immediate start date with a predictable Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at an attractive pay rate of $24.00 per hour.
Our client’s office is conveniently located in a highly transit-accessible area of Burnaby, making your daily commute easy and stress-free. As a core member of the business administration department, the Receptionist interacts closely with internal staff, vendors, and shipping partners. Whether you are arranging team lunches, coordinating courier services, handling building maintenance portals, or stocking coffee stations, your friendly demeanor and administrative efficiency will directly contribute to a vibrant, highly organized work environment.

Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary Receptionist and point of contact for front desk coverage, welcoming guests and managing phone inquiries.
• Manage end-to-end ordering and setup for office meals, catering, and team events.
• Maintain optimal stock levels of office supplies, submitting purchase requests as needed.
• Coordinate all incoming and outgoing couriers, mail, and shipping requests efficiently.
• Submit and track basic building maintenance and facility requests through the online tenant portal.
• Ensure coffee stations and breakrooms are fully stocked, clean, organized, and inviting throughout the day.
• Perform ad hoc administrative duties to support general business administration and office operations.
Qualifications
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with a welcoming and professional demeanor.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in basic office software, email management, and digital facility management portals.
• Proactive problem-solving attitude with high attention to detail in high-volume administrative tasks.
• Dependable, punctual, and highly collaborative team player.
Requirements
• Previous experience working as a Receptionist, Front Desk Coordinator, or Administrative Assistant.
• Must be personable, highly approachable, and possess strong customer service skills.
• Proven capability in handling general office administration tasks independently.
• Located in or easily accessible to Burnaby, BC, with reliable transportation or transit access.
• Available to start immediately for full-time weekday shifts.
