Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Techincal Recruiter for a 12-month contract opportunity with a leading global technology organization in Markham, ON.

This experienced Technical Recruiter will lead full-cycle recruitment for highly specialized technical roles across multiple business units, with a strong focus on AI, distributed systems, database, and infrastructure talent. This role will partner closely with hiring managers to develop innovative sourcing strategies, engage senior and principal-level technical candidates, and drive the recruitment process from talent identification through offer negotiation. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of recruiting hard-to-find technical talent, building relationships within open source and academic communities, and managing multiple complex searches in a fast-paced environment.

You will possess strong sourcing capabilities, and be comfortable recruiting for both high-volume and specialized technical roles. This role offers the opportunity to partner with multiple business leaders while supporting strategic hiring initiatives for a globally recognized organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment process end-to-end and effectively attract, source, assess, and interview candidates for technical roles across business units, with a focus on AI, distributed systems, and database talent.

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and attract niche technical talent while maintaining diverse and qualified candidate pipelines.

  • Conduct talent mapping and market research to identify top technical talent, including senior and principal-level professionals specializing in distributed systems, AI infrastructure, and database technologies.

  • Build relationships with highly sought-after technical candidates through targeted outreach, networking, and engagement strategies.

  • Lead the offer management process, including developing compensation proposals, negotiating compensation packages, and securing candidate acceptance.

  • Partner with Recruitment Coordinators to administer approval processes, prepare candidate documentation, and maintain document management best practices.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing consultative guidance and ensuring timely and effective hiring decisions.

  • Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, technical conferences, and other recruitment initiatives, including engagement with open source and academic communities.

  • Support triannual co-op recruitment programs, managing high-volume interview schedules and selection processes while meeting strict deadlines.

  • Manage multiple requisitions simultaneously across several business units while maintaining a high level of service and urgency.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in full-cycle technology recruitment, with demonstrated success recruiting for senior and principal-level distributed systems, AI infrastructure, database, or data infrastructure positions.

  • Strong ability to evaluate and engage senior technical leaders, including discussing open source contributions, systems architecture, published research, and other technical accomplishments.

  • Experience sourcing candidates through open source communities, academic networks, technical forums, and other non-traditional talent channels.

  • Proven ability to build relationships and establish credibility with highly specialized and difficult-to-find technical talent.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex, multi-step recruitment processes.

  • Passion for talent acquisition and a strong understanding of current trends within AI, distributed systems, database, and infrastructure talent markets.

  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple hiring managers and manage numerous concurrent vacancies while maintaining a sense of urgency and delivering results.

  • Self-motivated, innovative, and resourceful in developing creative talent attraction and recruitment strategies.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
