Are you an ambitious, results-driven field sales professional looking to step into an extraordinary growth opportunity within the logistics sector? Randstad Professional is proud to partner with a global leader in international freight forwarding and contract logistics to recruit a dynamic Logistics Business Development Consultant in Calgary, Alberta. As a key growth driver in our client’s expanding Canadian footprint, you will lead sales & marketing efforts, territory development, and strategic account acquisition across Western Canada. This remote, field-based role offers an incredible blend of entrepreneurial autonomy and the backing of a premier global supply chain network.
In this strategic sales & marketing role, you will be responsible for building a strong commercial presence in Calgary and surrounding regional markets. Our client is establishing new territory reach in Alberta, creating a high-impact environment for a self-motivated sales professional who excels in a 100% remote, autonomous setup. You will focus on selling total supply chain solutions, including international ocean and air freight forwarding, contract logistics, warehousing, and customized freight movement. Working closely with central operations, pricing specialists, and executive management in Brampton, Vancouver, and Montreal, you will act as the principal commercial leader for local and regional clients.
This position provides a balanced commercial focus combining active account development and net-new client acquisition. Upon joining, you will inherit an existing portfolio of client accounts to manage, retain, and expand—representing approximately 50% of your initial focus—while dedicating the remaining 50% of your scope to prospecting and securing net-new business. Target client sectors in the Calgary market include retail, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), agricultural machinery, technology, consumer electronics, healthcare, and industrial spare parts for energy support. Whether connecting virtually or conducting on-site field visits across Alberta, your ability to craft tailored 3PL solutions will drive business expansion.
