We're a passionate group of people who love collaborating on innovative and challenging projects.About this roleWe are recruiting for an Indigenous Partnerships Manager to join our Burnaby head office.We are looking for an experienced Indigenous Partnerships Manager to lead, develop, strengthen and maintain relationships with Indigenous Nations, communities, businesses, and organizations across British Columbia and Alberta.In this strategic role, you will serve as our primary relationship lead for Indigenous engagement, helping build respectful, long-term partnerships that create shared value for Indigenous communities while supporting business growth and project success. Working closely with leadership, business development, project teams, procurement, and HR, you will help advance opportunities for participation, employment, training, procurement, and economic development.Here's how your role will strengthen our team.Your responsibilitiesBuild and maintain trusted relationships with Indigenous Nations, communities, organizations, and businesses across BC and AlbertaLead Indigenous engagement and partnership development, serving as the primary point of contact and representing the company at industry and community eventsSupport the development and implementation strategies that advance Indigenous participation, economic development, employment, training, and procurement opportunitiesCollaborate with business development, project teams, and leadership to integrate Indigenous engagement and partnership objectives into pursuits, proposals, and project deliveryProvide guidance on Indigenous relations and cultural protocols while monitoring partnership commitments, industry trends, legislation, and emerging opportunitiesYour experience and skillsPost-secondary education in Business, Public Administration, Indigenous Studies, Community Development, Law, Economic Development, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, lived experience, and professional experience7+ years of experience in Indigenous relations, community engagement, partnership development, stakeholder relations, economic development, business development, or a related fieldDemonstrated success building trusted and respectful relationships with Indigenous Nations and communitiesExperience negotiating agreements and developing collaborative partnershipsExperience working with Indigenous governments, economic development corporations, or community organizationsKnowledge of Indigenous communities and regional landscapes throughout British Columbia and AlbertaExperience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, energy, or similar industries is considered an assetAbout HouleAs BC's leading electrical contractor and systems integrator, we believe in delivering safe, reliable power for the future.
