The Volunteer’s Role

Join us in empowering Venezuelan migrants, refugees, and vulnerable Peruvian communities by building their capacity for employability.

We place special focus on uplifting women, LGBTQ2IA+ individuals, and indigenous peoples, aiming to boost sustainable income-generating activities that strengthen economic stability and self-reliance. Cuso is looking for a passionate professional like you to drive meaningful change through our development projects in key Peruvian regions such as Lima, Piura, Arequipa, and Ica.

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to collaborate closely with youth and marginalized groups, helping them acquire the vital skills and knowledge needed to secure and sustain formal employment, fostering lasting social and economic inclusion.

As a volunteer, you will:

  • Support the implementation of the Psychosocial Support Program for 100 participants by helping coordinate sessions, track participation, prepare learning materials, and connect participants with practical tools that build confidence, resilience, and workplace readiness.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the MUCURA Program, supporting 50 participants to complete training activities focused on livelihoods, entrepreneurship, income-generating initiatives, vocational guidance, and sustainable economic inclusion.
  • Collaborate with local partners, facilitators, and community stakeholders to identify participant needs, adapt training content, and ensure programming is inclusive, practical, and responsive to the realities of Venezuelan migrants, refugees, youth, women, LGBTQ2IA+ individuals, indigenous peoples, and vulnerable Peruvian communities.
  • Help monitor program progress by gathering participant feedback, documenting outcomes, maintaining basic records, and contributing insights that improve training quality, participant retention, and employment pathway support.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with livelihood issues and social development projects.
  • Proficient in office software tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Job placement training, vocational guidance, career counseling, and income-generating activities

Essential Background:

  • Experience in the planning and execution of social projects.
  • Proven experience in facilitating courses or workshops.
  • Knowledge of the migratory and economic situation of the Venezuelan refugee and migrant population.

What’s in it for YOU? A life-changing experience!
