What Youll Be Doing

As a Senior Accountant you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting for both our corporate and project entities. Working hands-on with our Controller and a dynamic finance team you will:

• Manage month- and year-end close processesto meet tight deadlines
• Prepare complex reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances
• Maintain general ledger integrity including journal entries and supporting documentation
• Prepare complete and accurate monthly/annual financial statements(GAAP)
• Support internal and external audits preparing robust schedules and documentation
• Assist with tax filings and complianceunder the direction of finance leadership
• Support budgeting and forecastingthrough data gathering review and variance analysis
• Partner with project teamsfor accurate cost tracking and reporting
• Identify and recommend improvementsrelated to accounting controls and processes
• Contribute to systems/process streamlining automation and best practices
• Drive ongoing enhancementsin finance operations and cross-functional collaboration

What You Bring

• Bachelors degreein Accounting Finance or a related field
• CPA designation(or in progress) preferred
• 4-6 years progressive accounting experience; real estate/construction experience a strong asset
• Strong working knowledge ofGAAP
• Proven experience maintaining financial records and preparing reports
• Solid understanding ofinternal controls tax and compliance
• Skilled invariance analysisand communicating financial results
• Proficient in accounting software(Sage QuickBooks TimberScan ERP systems)
• Advanced Excelessential; Power BI or other reporting tools a plus
• Organized detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple priorities
• Collaborative and proactive team player with exceptional communication skills
• Change-ready with a passion for process improvement and innovation
