Job Description:

Microchips fast-growing Microcontroller & Analog business is looking for a Reliability Engineer to bring new products to the market. Based in our Chandler Arizona Corporate Headquarters you would be part of the Reliability Engineering team tasked with supporting the development of new Microcontroller & Analog addition you will participate in shaping and influencing our overall Reliability strategies and techniques. This position is an individual contributor role working alongside a team of experienced engineering staff.

• Responsibilities include working with New Product Development teams to create Qualification plans and meet scheduled release dates.

• Responsible for developing and performing die level reliability testing on Microchip devices.

• Some experience performing product qualification techniques for automotive Commercial and Aero/Defense products. Some experience working on a Product Development team (i.e. Test Product and Design engineers) to support the development and qualification of new products and reliability stress plans or similar.

• Must also work with vendors to develop burn-in board solutions as needed.

• Lab skills with assorted test/measurement equipment (e.g. oscilloscope power supply source meter function generator network analyzer etc.) valued but not required.

• Some experience in PCB hardware design and ability to read board schematics and drawings.

• Experience and good working knowledge of JEDEC and MIL-STD reliability test specifications.

• Operate effectively in a team environment while contributing to the teams success.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Minimum BS with minimum of 2 years industry experience or MS degree in Electrical/Computer or related engineering field.

• Strong fundamentals of transistor level integrated circuits and device physics.

• Experience with Reliability qualification methods including: HTOL HAST T/C Endurance and ESD/LU.

• Experience in New Product board Design bring-up.

• Experience with testing digital and analog circuits in production test or burn-in environment.

• Experience in common scripting languages (i.e. Perl Python etc.).

Additional Requirements & Qualifications:

• Strong lab skills with assorted test/measurement equipment (e.g. oscilloscope power supply source meter function generator network analyzer etc.).

• Experience with DLT/HTOL burn-in ovens or similar is a plus.

• Self-motivated and take ownership of solutions.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Must adhere to Microchips guiding values.

The annual base salary range for this position is $76000-$114000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location skills and experience.
