A Group Fitness Manager in one of our Clubs is one of our most important positions – there we said it, but it’s because we’re looking for someone who will encourage their team of Group Fitness Instructors, while still developing and maintaining a great program for the club. We’re also looking for an experienced, self-motivated and detail-oriented professional who is aligned with our values all rolled into one.

Role

Our Group Fitness Managers are passionate about our members, our future members, and possess a deep passion for health and wellness.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling a wide array of fun and challenging classes and provide exceptional service to meet the diverse needs of our members and team. Hired with the capability to take on sub requests, fill gaps and take on their own classes as needed, the Group Fitness Manager aims to provide consistent leading-edge group fitness programming that our members have come to expect.

Numbers do play a big part in this role, as our Group Fitness Managers track and report analytics, prepare and deliver regular status updates and conduct studio quality checks through inspection and equipment inventory review.

We also know it’s important for you to lead, and not just manage, as you are the ultimate motivator and educator for your team so that our members are left happy. You will ensure standards are met, and instructors are accountable for the delivery and quality of class content. You offer a rich and diverse experience, and opportunity to make an immediate positive impact.

Manager, Group Fitness (35 hours) annual salary range: $58,000 - $70,000+ additional compensation for Group Fitness instruction, and eligibility for an annual performance-based incentive program.

The compensation will be determined based on experience, skills set, education and training, and other organizational needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for a minimum of 3 years’ experience with demonstrated proficiency in: scheduling, delivery of feedback in conducting class evaluations and expertise in leading various group fitness classes, accountability to a set budget, gathering and reporting analytics, market research, as well as effective communication skills via face to face, conference calls and through effective email correspondence. In addition, this amazing candidate can demonstrate proficiency in both organizational and time management skills.
