Job Description

CEDA is currently seeking a Class 3 Driver/Operator to work for Chemical Cleaning based out of our Edmonton, AB location.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain chemical cleaning equipment and other specialty tools
• Complete minor maintenance and checks on equipment
• Ensure safety for all team members and property
• Provide quality services to our clients
• Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
• Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
• Leave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job done
• Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
• Read work orders and designate proper hoses, chemicals and other equipment required job. If unsure, seek advice of supervisor
• Ensure equipment is properly decontaminated at end of job
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 3 licence with no more than 5 demerits in last 3 years is required
• 1+ years’ experience in an industrial environment required
• Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• CSTS-09 & OSSA Regional; BSO or Common Safety Orientation certification required
• Experience in the following Industrial Chemical Cleaning Projects is an asset:Exchanger Cleaning – 3 Stage Washes, Acid Washes, Cleaning –Various Chemical Washes with Passivation and Phase – Various scopesTank Cleaning – Circulation, separation, and Blows – Decompression, Pulse, and Continuous Air Blows. N2 Purging.Familiarity with large bore pumping systems (skid pumps and chemical trucks).
• Experience working with the following industrial chemistries is an asset:Hydrochloric, Sulphamic, Formic and Nitric AcidCaustic, Ammonium Biflouride, Soda AshVarious degreasers and degassing chemistries

Skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
• Perform physically demanding work (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
• Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions
• You have the ability to work well in a team, share a laugh with your coworkers and get the job done safely
