Job Summary :
The Line Operator, under the direction of the Line Supervisor, will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the operating line as required, producing a clean, quality product; maintaining machines and cleanliness of plant; ensuring safety, including regulatory, awareness of all equipment and operations.
We run our operations 24 / 7 with a variety of shifts. All applicants must be able to work the morning, afternoon shift and graveyard shifts. Shift Schedules changes may occur with 48 hours notice due to operational need. Applicants will receive an additional premium on top of their hourly rate when working the following shifts :
- Afternoon shift incentive start time is between 12 : 00PM - 6 : 00PM. The premium is $0.50 per hour.
- Evening / Night shift incentive start time is between 6 : 00PM 12 : 00AM / midnight. The premium is $1.50 per hour.
Compensation :
$25.80 per hour to start, $28.15 per hour after 3-months of employment
Duties & Responsibilities :
Assist in monitoring, checking and adjusting machineryTie, hang bags, remove bag weights, record weights on production report, and put production in storageAssist in cleaning, and checking for damaged parts and sources of product contaminationClear jams in packaging, infeed using proper tools and proceduresClean stationary magnets to ensure that product does not get contaminated with steel particlesPerform all functions according to company policy, procedure and proper safety practicesMaintain excellent communication with fellow crew, supervisors and managementKeep plant area clean by shoveling and sweepingPerform other duties as requiredRequired Skills & Abilities :
Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment is preferredForklift certification experience or equivalentAbility to operate a forklift and reach-truck is considered an assetAbility to understand and follow directions accuratelyKnowledge of proper safety procedures in and around equipment and machinesGood communication skills oral and writtenStrong mechanical aptitudeAbility to learn new tasks quickly and apply them accuratelyAbility to work well as part of a teamAbility to work in inclement weatherWhat Liberty offers the right candidate :
