Job Title : Material Handler

Location : Delta, BC

Pay : $27-28 / hr

Job Description

Begin your shift by conducting a pre-use inspection to ensure all equipment, including side loader Combi, Hubtex Stand-up forklift, counterbalance forklift, or overhead crane, is safe to operate. Handle and package orders by moving materials with an overhead crane, banding with steel or plastic binders, and protecting materials with wood or plastic. Load trucks using overhead cranes and forklifts, and manage shipping paperwork efficiently. Collaborate with a team of around nine people, prepare packaging for the next day's orders, and maintain cleanliness of workstations. Cross-training opportunities in saw cutting, shipping, and receiving are available, with a strong emphasis on safety.

Work Environment

Work indoors and outdoors, with a 50 / 50 split between operating equipment and manual tasks. The work schedule starts with the AM shift from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, with the possibility of switching to a 6 : 30 AM to 3 : 00 PM schedule. Join a unionized environment, collaborating with a team of approximately nine people.
