Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer – Production & Quality is responsible for overseeing the production
process, implementing process improvements, and ensuring all products meet quality
standards. This role requires a strong mechanical background, problem-solving skills, and
hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Collaborate with production staff to resolve technical issues and implement best
practices
Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions
Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and quality defects
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and industry regulations
Perform inspections and quality checks at various stages of production
Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams on quality-related matters
Support new product introductions and assist with prototype testing and evaluations
Collect and analyze production and quality data to drive continuous improvement
initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
4–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and quality control
standards
Familiarity with tools such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis
(e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or
similar)
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the metal fabrication, automotive, or heavy equipment industry
Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems
Hands-on experience with measuring tools and inspection equipment
