Job Description

As a teacher in our comprehensive NETWORK ADMINISTRATION program, you will provide students with the essential skills and knowledge to thrive in the ever-evolving world of technology.

The NETWORK ADMINISTRATION program, allows students to emerge as adept professionals capable of understanding diverse network protocols and mastering the installation and maintenance of network hardware.

They will be proficient in troubleshooting both PC and network hardware, as well as client and network operating systems.

Additionally, students will gain the expertise to design, implement, and manage both local and wide area networks, all while catering to the unique needs of users.

Required Qualifications

COMPUTER SCIENCE (420)

• Bachelor’s or equivalent* degree in Computer Science
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field may be considered
• Minimum of 3 years appropriate professional / industry experience
• Several years related teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred
• Excellent English communication skills essential
• Equivalent establishes a general comparison between two official education systems
• In addition to above - NETWORK ADMINISTRATION AEC :

Intro. to Network Administration 420-E03-AB

• Related teaching experience in Network Administration(preferred)
• Industry experience (preferred)

Cisco I 420-E46-AB

Cisco certified to teach CCNA courses (CCAI) (required)

Cisco II 420-E76-AB

Cisco certified to teach CCNA courses (CCAI) (required)

Cisco Ill 420-EA6-AB

Cisco certified to teach CCNA courses (CCAI) (required)

Cisco IV 420-EB6-AB

Cisco certified to teach CCNA courses (CCAI) (required)

PC Work Station 420-E35-AB

• Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (or above) (required)
• Microsoft AZ-900 and Microsoft AZ-104 certifications (preferred)

• Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (or above) (required)

• CompTIA Linux+ or RHCE or equivalent (required)
• Teaching experience in Linux (preferred)

Linux Server 420-EB4-AB

• CompTIA Linux+ or RHCE or equivalent (required)

Network Security 420-EE4-AB

Industry recognized cyber-security certification (such as Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security); Cisco Cybersecurity Essentials;

CompTIA Security+, etc.) (required)

Note : In accordance with art. 4-4.04 of the Collective Agreement, the Selection Committee may, exceptionally, recommend to the College that pertinent additional professional and / or industrial experience be considered in lieu of the stated minimum educational requirement.

Candidates to be considered under this option must have completed at least the equivalent of a DEC or AEC. Education superior to the stated minimum requirement may be substituted for professional / industrial experience at the discretion of the selection committee.
