Brandt is currently looking for a Procurement Analyst (Temporary) in our Regina location. This position is part of the frontline point of contact between Brandt and its supply base.
The Procurement Analyst performs much of the basic analysis of requirements, identifies supply options and opportunities for savings and efficiencies, and negotiates best value (price, product, delivery).
This role is a key support element within the commodity group, and directly affects the success of the team through the accuracy, timeliness and organization of the work.
Duties and Responsibilities
Obtain the best value when procuring goods and services in terms of quality, reliability, price and delivery.
Carry out various tasks related to the specific commodities assigned.
Provide purchasing support to Sr. Procurement Analyst for day-to-day procurement operations.
Utilize contracts created by Strategic Sourcing to procure materials and services as required
Under moderate supervision, source and purchase materials as required. Refuse attempts to impose additional charges for expediting of orders, and escalate negotiating impasses to Purchasing Manager.
Produce purchase orders from requests / requisitions to ensure timely delivery.
Responsible for purchase orders through to close-out; resolve any associated queries on a timely basis.
F ollow standard purchasing operating procedures.
Identify and address issues related to the procurement process, escalating unresolved issues to the supervisor.
Coordinate with manufacturing to eliminate parts shortages.
Maintain / improve supplier relationships. Document supplier performance and participate in the review process as required.
Assist in procurement projects and programs to achieve business goals and continuous improvements of processes.
Resolve Accounts Payable issues as it applies to supplier deliveries.
Resolves purchasing problems between department and supplier.
Develop market knowledge.

Purchase Price Variance of production materials ordered kept within acceptable tolerance as per policy.
Purchases of services and project materials kept at or below budget.
On Time Delivery rates for suppliers handled.
Results of Cost Reduction and Cost Avoidance activities undertaken by the individual.

Required Skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Required Experience
1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
Professional certification in Supply Chain or Procurement preferred (SCMA)
Experience in ERP systems.
Extensive knowledge of MS Office software, esp. Excel, Word, PowerPoint
